Hydraulic filters for industrial systems
by Filtration Group Industrial offer protection against contamination
Hydraulic filters ensure the smooth operation of your machine and system, and provide protection against liquid and solid contaminants in the machine system. Contaminants cause abrasion and increase the wear of a system. This makes it all the more important to customize a filter system according to the system environment.
Manufacturer
Filtration Group GmbH (formerly MAHLE Industriefiltration), headquartered in Öhringen, Baden Württemberg, forms the Filtration Group Industrial with numerous sister companies made of the whole world and belongs to the american group Madison Industries.
The industrial division of Filtration Group Industrial combines a broad pallet of high quality filters and separation systems under the roof of one strong markers. In addition to the German branches in Öhringen, Hamburg and Salzgitter, Filtration Group GmbH also has plants in Romania, China and Japan and employs over 700 employees worldwide. The new brand name thus covers the total spectrum of hydraulic, automatic and process filters as well as air filters and separation systems. Filtration Group Industrial delivers what the name promises: We make the world safer, healthier and more productive.
Products
Pressure filter
Filtration Group Industrial has developed a wide range of efficient pressure filters for insertion in hydraulic systems, lubrication systems and test benches.
- Permanent compliance with cleanliness classes of liquids and oils
- robust housing for strong operating pressure
- streamlined designs for maximum performance
These are available as full or partial flow filters for various pressure levels:
- Low pressure filters up to 60 bar
- Medium pressure filters up to 210 bar
- High pressure filters up to 450 bar
- Special filters up to 1000 bar
Duplex or double switching filter
Thanks to the division of labor, the double switching filters enable continuous operation on a high performance level.
- Insert in machines and engines that do not come to a standstill
- Filter elements can be changed in linear operation
- patented one-hand switchover
- Integrated, reliable maintenance indicator
- elements can be removed and replaced according to above
Suction filter
Suction filters are used as protective filters for cleaning the oil in many different applications. Before the oil is sucked into the working circuit by the pump, it passes through the suction filter and only enters the system after filtration.
- In addition to classic line filters, star-pleated wire mesh suction filters and various tank-mounted filters are also available
- Integrated contamination indicator
- Cleaning in the fine range of 10 up to 25 μm
- wire mesh as filter medium for coarse particles with up to 100 μm
Return filter
Return filters are an elementary component of modern hydraulic and lubrication systems. The tried and tested types in the Pi series ensure safe and economical production processes in the fluid system.
- Dirt collection in return lines
- Reduction of wear on the suction pump and the following components in the fluid circuit
- Compliance with fluid cleanliness classes
- Working filter at mobile applications
Suction return filter
Suction return filters combine the features of suction and return filters in one system.
- Compact design for insert in mobile hydraulic systems
- Integrated pre-loading valves prevent pressure loss for lower energy consumption than at separate systems
- bypass element for additional safety
Breather filter
Breather filters protect systems from external contamination. This is because the ambient air that enters containers and tanks of operating fluids through openings usually contains dirt particles or moisture.
- Robust and corrosion-resistant
- optional insert of cellulose (MIC) or fibreglass (SML) elements; other filter media like meltblown (MLB) elements
- Versatile additional options possible
- individual logo printing
Oil filter modules
Oil filter modules are self-sufficient systems consisting of an electric motor, a toothed wheel pump and one filter.
- Installation in wind turbines
- independent system with high efficiency
- compact design
- flow rate of 110 l/min and 220 l/min
- optimum separation results in connection with oil cooler
Filter elements
For the filtration of hydraulic and lubricating oils, but also diverse other liquids, Filtration Group Industrial supplies special filter elements with different media, which are folded into a star shape. For machines and systems of stationary and mobile systems, there are filter elements of the standard and standard series according to DIN 24550, which cover almost every area of application. Filtration Group also has suitable filter elements in its product portfolio for housing from other manufacturers.
- Defined functionality and high filter performance
- higher βx -value stability over the total service life by PulseShield™ technology
- high safety and cost-effectiveness
- Speed and excellent service quality
Application
Return filter - dirt trap in the return flow
Return filters remove dirt and impurities from the oil contained in the system as it returns to the oil tank.
Suction-return filter - double efficiency in difficult missions
Suction-return filters are used in mobile machines.
Ventilation filters - dirt barriers in the blind spot
Ventilation filters are indispensable for hydraulic systems. They protect against contamination caused by ambient air.
Nothing can shake a PulseShield™ filter
With its patented PulseShield™ technology, Filtration Group Industrial has developed an effective solution against pressure fluctuations. These occur in almost every hydraulic circuit, for example when pistons move or valves are switched quickly. The pleat star is pressed against the inner frame by the shrunk-on outer jacket and remains fixed in place. This prevents the pleats from blocking and the degree of separation remains stable and high even in the event of pressure fluctuations. PulseShield™ technology also prevents particles that have already been separated from the filter medium from being released again during these pulsations.
A clean energy drink for our little Hercules
Forklift trucks are real powerhouses, but are usually small and maneuverable. In order to combine both advantages in one vehicle, they are equipped with a high-performance unit that supplies the vehicle drive and working hydraulics with filtered oil. Filters from Filtration Group Industrial are used at all critical points in the industrial trucks of one of the world's leading manufacturers. In addition to pressure and air filters, the customer relies on suction filter modules whose internal filter media with PulseShieldTM technology absorb 30 percent more dirt than conventional filter elements. They therefore meet the demanding requirements for separation rates and defined cleanliness classes. They also keep the oil completely clean, even when the system jerks and shakes.
Pi 214 - Relaxed milling in the machine
With the Pi 214, Filtration Group Industrial offers efficient filtration, increases the service life of the machines, and ensures trouble-free operation over a long period of time. When processing aluminum, chips are produced that can get into the high-pressure pumps and tool spindles together with the cooling lubricant, causing premature wear and damage. With the Pi 214 double duplex filter, Filtration Group Industrial has provided an effective remedy to this problem: The filter system removes chips and dirt from the cooling lubricant during operation, thus helping to eliminate problems during operation. This can be maintained even if the filter elements need to be changed. As soon as the employee flips the lever, the second filter takes over. The filter elements are made of wire mesh, and can therefore be cleaned after removal.
Impressive performance on the sidelines
Although oil filter modules from Filtration Group Industrial are predominantly installed as main flow filters in wind turbines, they are also used for off-line filtration. In widely branched hydraulic systems such as those used in paper mills or rolling mills, they assist the existing pressure and return filters to enable full cleaning of large quantities of oil. In combination with a water-absorbing filter material, the filter elements ensure consistent oil purity, filtering out free water and oil aging substances.
