Clearance free servo couplings
Servo couplings are backflash-free and maintenance-free shaft couplings that are used as connecting elements between highly dynamic servomotors and various positioning and handling units. They are either one-piece or pluggable. These coupling systems have a compensating function and warrant clearance-free transmission of the torque, also at changing directions of rotation, i.e. the transmission of the torque from one shaft to another is made without offset. This makes clearance-free servo couplings the non plus ultra at servo drives - after all, they also tolerate no millimetre of play.

Torsionally flexible couplings
Torsionally flexible couplings compensate for misalignment, connect shafts of different sizes and dampen vibrations. They contain spring bodies made of elastomers whose hardness can be adjusted to the design. High damping properties improve shaft misalignment compensation.
