Manufacturer

SKF (Svenska Kullagerfabriken) is a Swedish group with a wide range of products and services in the areas of rolling bearings, seals, lubrication and systems, mechatronics (preload tools) and related services such as maintenance and training.

SKF was founded in 1907 and grew into a quick global company. The first factory was built in Gothenburg (Sweden), where the international headquarters of the SKF Group is still located today. The Group is present in more than 130 countries and employs around 44,400 employees, has 15 technology centers, 103 production sites and works with round 17,000 authorized distributors.

SKF single-line lubrication systems

Single-line lubrication systems are centralized lubrication systems that have been specially developed for machines and systems with several lubrication points. They work with a main line that transports the lubricant from a pump to progressive or metering distributors. This ensures uniform and reliable lubrication of all the connected components. It is also possible to connect multiple machines. All the feed distributors work almost in parallel. Speak to one of our specialist advisors for a consultation.

Application

Single-line lubrication systems by SKF and Lincoln

This animation demonstrates system components, operating principles and typical applications. SKF single-line lubrication systems are simple to design and easy to expand or reduce. These systems work reliably in a wide range of applications and effectively under harsh conditions. This animation shows the components of such systems and how the lubricant is delivered from a pump unit to the lubrication points via metering devices. Monitoring and control options are also covered.

SKF dual-line lubrication systems

Efficient lubrication for large systems - SKF dual-line lubrication systems work with two main lines that are alternately supplied with up to 400 bar by a high-pressure pump. The lubricant reaches the distributors via branch lines, which deliver large quantities of grease to the lubrication points in a targeted manner. Final pressure switches monitor the process and control the changeover process.

These systems are flexible, easy to expand, and do not require reconfiguration for adjustments. They function in two half-cycles, in which one main line is pressurized while the other is relieved. The number of lubrication points can be further increased by combining them with progressive distributors.

Application

Dual-line lubrication systems - For harsh conditions

Dual-line lubrication systems work with two alternately pressurized main lines that transport the lubricant to the lubrication points via distributors. They are flexibly expandable and can be combined with progressive distributors. The system works in two half-cycles: In the first, lubricant is pumped into one main line while the other is relieved. Once the set pressure is reached, a final pressure monitor sends a signal to the control unit, whereupon the pump stops and the changeover takes place. This ensures that all lubrication points are supplied precisely.

SKF multi-line lubrication systems

SKF multi-line lubrication systems supply each lubrication point with lubricant directly from a pump via separate lines. This enables independent control of the lubricant quantity for each lubrication point. The multi-line pumps are available in mechanically, electrically or hydraulically actuated versions. Multi-line pump units deliver the lubricant directly to the lubrication point; no lubricant distributors are required. Each lubrication point has its own pump element.

SKF Progressive Lubrication Systems

Reliable lubrication for small to medium-sized machines with SKF progressive lubrication systems ensures continuous lubrication as long as the pump is running. The lubricant is delivered to the lubrication points in precise quantities via main and sub-distributors. A block interrupts the lubrication of the entire system and serves as a monitoring feature that warns maintenance personnel in good time.

Application

Progressive lubrication systems

SKF progressive lubrication systems are flexible, reliable and reduce friction and wear in various industries. They precisely supply up to 150 lubrication points with lubricant over distances of around 15 m, and even over 100 m for oil lubrication systems. They also offer monitoring and control options for optimum lubrication and cost reduction.

SKF circulating oil lubrication systems

Lubrication and cooling in one - SKF circulating oil lubrication systems lubricate and cool highly stressed bearings and gears, while the circulating oil removes dirt particles and reduces wear. With flow rates from 0.1 to 3000 l/min, they offer flexible and expandable solutions for a wide range of applications. Easy to operate and modular in design, they are easily expandable and can be monitored optically or electronically. SKF oil circulation systems increase operational reliability and support predictive maintenance concepts.
